Vision and mission

ShopDonation is born from the strong desire of its founders to be involved in social entrepreneurship and to contribute to the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. 

ShopDonation is the first Swiss social platform that allows associations and nonprofits to raise donations through the online purchases of their members.

Our platform is available to support those who work in the nonprofit field and who deploy all their know-how to deal with emergency situations on a daily basis. ShopDonation wishes to be active on issues affecting the ecosystem, in Switzerland and around the world, and to shape a global economy that is aware of its economic, social, and environmental impacts.

COVID-19 not only has confronted us with new societal challenges, but it has also accentuated long-standing ones, particularly around inequality, poverty, and public health. An increasing amount of charities are aware of these new challenges and they need, more than ever, fundraising entities to continue their activities. ShopDonation is the most effective way to enable the greatest number of people to support solidarity projects in Switzerland and around the world. Simple and free of charge for the donor.

What are the criteria for registering a project and receiving donations ? 

ShopDonation works like a crowdfunding platform. Anyone can create a project and use ShopDonation to raise funds. Nevertheless, we ensure that every project that registers on our platform aims at altruism and pursues a noble cause. The projects that can register vary from large non-governmental organizations to small charities. They range from sports associations to community projects, from churches to public institutions, from socio-cultural projects to environmental associations, or from civilian initiatives to university clubs.

If the project pursues a laudable goal for the good of the planet, to help other people, or to promote healthy and sustainable values, it is more than welcomed to join ShopDonation.
