Description:
We provide primary school kids, in Northern Malawi, with porridge. This gives them the energy to concentrate and learn. We have already achieved so much and with your help we can achieve even more! We started with three schools and now provide porridge in five, feeding 7000 kids each school day. There are 52 schools in the area. In all schools enrolment has risen, absenteeism declined and student pass rates have increased. Nourishing Minds provide maize seeds, soya seeds, fertiliser, salt, sugar and pots. The crops are grown and harvested by the Youth and the Communities. They also prepare the porridge. We are all volunteers meaning that 100% of your donation will go to the project.
