HopeTown is based in Ocean View, Cape Town, South Africa. We are a youth-based community development NGO and reach out to the disadvantaged families in the community. We offer an internship programme centred around skills training for young people who have dropped out of school. In response to poorly resourced Catholic schools asking for help with mental health difficulties, the Catholic Institute of Education (CIE) began a mental health pilot project in 2023 with 60 teachers from 20 schools. In partnership with, and with the support of, the Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative(REPSSI), the CIE continued the project into 2024. In 2025 the CIE has continued with the project and has introduced a new component: trauma-informed practices for poorly resourced Catholic Schools. 20 Schools will be included in the project and the Catholic Institute of Education itself, will go through the training to become a trauma-informed organisation.

Menstrual hygiene is a critical aspect of girls' health and education in Kenya. Many girls in Kenya miss school during their menstrual periods due to lack of access to sanitary products, inadequate facilities, and stigma surrounding menstruation. This project aims to promote menstrual hygiene among school girls in Masaba South Sub County in Kenya and thus help to improve their health, education and overall well-being. These activities will be central to the realization of our goal: Promotion of awareness on menstrual hygiene through training, provision of affordable sanitary towels to girls, improvement of toilets and disposal systems and creating supportive environment for girls.

Lotus Private School is in 2018 in Mpongwe, Zambia opgericht door de daar woonachtige Nederlandse Jennifer Peeters. Samen met de gemeenschap zijn er sportteams opgericht (voetbal en netbal). Wij bestrijden armoede en onrecht door jongeren en families in Oost Congo te ondersteunen op hun weg naar zelfredzaamheid. Met ons bewezen concept bieden wij diverse vakopleidingen aan in combinatie met de begeleiding bij het opzetten van een eigen bedrijf in groepsverband. Zo helpen wij jongeren om binnen één jaar zelfstandig in hun eigen levensonderhoud te voorzien. Dit doen zij door het zelf genereren van een duurzaam inkomen. Het mooie van dit hele sprookje is dat je alsnog school volgt ondanks dat je over zee vaart voor 6 maanden, er zijn professionals van wie je les krijgt en leert zelfstandiger te worden met betrekking tot schoolwerk. Ik heb het altijd al leuk gevonden om op vakantie te gaan naar landen en te reizen en wandelen en dat is nog 1 van de vele redenen waarom ik graag mee wil gaan! Ook zit ik op zeilen op hoog niveau, en hou ik dus enorm van op het water zijn!

GIST ondersteunt met opleidingen, de bouw van nieuwe bakkerijen en andere initiatieven die nodig zijn om mensen in Afrika een toekomst als bakker te geven. We willen mensen helpen doorgroeien in het bakkersvak. Zo kunnen zij bouwen aan een beter bestaan voor zichzelf. Hun zelfvertrouwen groeit waardoor zo ook meer kunnen betekenen voor hun gemeenschap. We helpen door lokale initiatieven te steunen met kennis, expertise en financiële middelen.

Stichting Way ToGo zet zich met toewijding in voor het ondersteunen van gemeenschappen in Togo. In nauwe samenwerking met lokale partners realiseren wij kleinschalige, duurzame projecten die bijdragen aan betere leefomstandigheden voor kinderen, zieken en andere hulpbehoevenden. Onze activiteiten omvatten onder meer de bouw van scholen, het aanleggen van waterputten in afgelegen dorpen, het realiseren van weeshuizen en buurthuizen, en het opzetten van medische posten. Door deze voorzieningen te creëren, dragen wij bij aan een betere toegang tot onderwijs, schoon drinkwater, opvang en basisgezondheidszorg.
